LAUNCH OF THE SPRINGBANK ISLAND PROJECT

The project is the first stage of a cultural heritage assessment for Springbank Island. It will be a  fundraiser (organised with the Student Archaeology Association) at Ivy Café (Old Canberra on the 31st from 5.30pm onwards.

A  really excellent evening  is planned, including participation of guitarist, singer and storyteller: Trevor Jamieson (of “Bran Nu Dae”, “Rabbit proof fence” not to mention his award winning “Black Arm Band”). Music will also be provided by “Keischa” and excellent School of Music (ANU) student jazz musicians “ The Stephen Read Trio”. Drinks and sausage sizzle will be provided at a small cost, all in the wonderful surrounds of Ivy Café (which overlooks Burley Griffin).
